Persons engaged or employed as food handlers in acute care hospitals, acute psychiatric hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, small intermediate care facilities, developmentally disabled habilitative facilities, special hospitals, and acute care rehabilitation hospitals licensed by the state of California, who meet state requirements pertaining to food handler training, shall be deemed to be in compliance with the requirements of CVMC 8.12.040.
