There is hereby adopted by reference the California Residential Code, 2022 Edition, known as the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 2.5, including Appendices AH, AQ, AS, AX and AZ, as adopted by state agencies, and excluding Chapter 1, Division II of that document as copyrighted by the International Code Council and the California Building Standards Commission. Said document is hereby adopted as the residential code of the City of Chula Vista for regulating the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, use and occupancy, location, maintenance, removal and demolition of every detached one- and two-family dwelling, townhouse not more than three stories above grade plane in height with a separate means of egress and structures accessory thereto throughout the City, excepting such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. Chapter 15.06 CVMC shall serve as the administrative, organizational and enforcement rules and regulations for this chapter.
