A violation of any provision or the failure to comply with any of the requirements of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor. Any Person convicted of such violation or such failure shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
