Upon the sale of a new home which is subject to a Mello-Roos district, an assessment district or an open space district, any Person engaged in the business of real estate sales shall disclose the costs of the district to the buyer and the existence of any alternative to pay off those costs at the time of the purchase of the property. This disclosure shall take place before any binding commitment is made either by the seller to sell the property to a specific buyer or by the buyer to purchase the property. The disclosure shall be made in the form attached hereto as Exhibit “I” and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full. (Ord. 2275 § 1, 1988).
