A. It is unlawful to consume or possess an alcoholic beverage within any City park during the hours of closure established by CVMC 2.66.270.

B. It is unlawful to consume or possess an alcoholic beverage at any time within any of the City parks or parts thereof or upon any public street, sidewalk, plaza, parking lot or restroom contiguous to or immediately adjoining the territorial boundary of those parks or parts thereof when posted with signs prohibiting drinking, except where permitted under the terms of a lease, operating agreement or permit issued by the Director of Recreation, Director of Public Works, the City Manager, or their designee. Any signs posted pursuant to this section must be posted under the authority of a City Council resolution upon a finding by the Council that the park, or portion thereof, was experiencing problems with the public’s consumption of alcohol.
