There is hereby established, pursuant to Charter Section 501, a Management and Information Services Department, which shall have responsibility for the provision of administrative and technological services, including City-wide data processing, word processing, telecommunication, and policy analysis and program activities, designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City operations.
