Pursuant to Section 306 of the Charter, the Council shall hold regular meetings at least once each month. Such meetings shall be held in the Council Chambers at 276 Fourth Avenue in the City, or in such other appropriate conference room within the Civic Center Complex, as may be determined by the Council. Regular meetings shall be held on the first, second, third, and fourth Tuesday of each month. The time of regular meetings shall be set by written resolution of the City Council adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council. Regular meetings may be cancelled in special circumstances or as necessary, in the discretion of the City Manager, or by a majority vote of the Council. When the day for any regular meeting of the Council falls on a legal holiday, no meeting shall be held on such holiday.

It shall be the general policy of the City Council to cancel any meetings in the last week of June and the first week of July, the week of Thanksgiving, the week following Easter, the Tuesday following Labor Day, and the week of Christmas and New Year’s. Any of these meetings may be reinstituted if necessary by a majority of the Council.
