All land development work shall be executed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the terms of the permit issued by the City Engineer. Once commenced, work shall be carried out diligently until completed. Unless otherwise specified upon the permit, all work shall be completed within 180 days from the date of issuance of the permit. The City Engineer may grant one extension of time for the completion of the work. Such extension shall not exceed the original length of time designated on the permit.
