The purpose of this chapter is to supplement City Charter Section 604, establishing the Planning Commission and setting forth its powers and duties. It is the intent of the City Council that the Planning Commission shall additionally meet the certified local government requirements, as defined by the national Historic Preservation Act, and serve as the authority on historic preservation matters and advise the Council and other City Boards and Commissions, as needed, on historic preservation matters, as is mandated by CVMC Title 21, Historic Preservation. If there is any conflict between this chapter and the Charter, the Charter shall govern. (Ord. 3539 § 1(J), 2022).
