It is the purpose and intent of the City Council, in establishing the Commission, to create a broadly based multifunctional commission to provide citizens’ advice to the City Council in the areas of energy and water conservation, resource recovery, environmental sustainability, and other related fields as determined by the City Council. The Commission shall also provide citizens’ advice to the other boards and commissions, the City Manager and members of the City Manager’s staff on these matters.
